Making Our Mark – Equus Striping’s Top Projects in Paving and Striping

Our Success Stories

See what Equus Striping has done for the community
Equus Striping has a long list of success stories of pavement marking and line striping projects completed around the Washington, D.C. metro area. Our favorite projects include some type of improvement to the area, whether it be increased safety for cars, pedestrians, and bicyclists or a beautification project that turned an otherwise dull area into a space that promotes beauty and community.

Project Highlights

The Vale

Equus Striping created an installation for The Parks DC at The Vale to bring Streetsense and Katie Spak’s beautiful mural to life. This mural, the second of a set of two custom-designed pieces we installed for The Parks DC, flows from the loading dock to the alley at The Vale apartments in Washington, D.C.

It turned out beautifully – we could not be prouder of our crew’s dedication and hard work.

“The Parks at Walter Reed is a growing, vibrant community that upends the ordinary. The 66-acre redevelopment of the former Walter Reed Army Medical Center redefines city living and puts the outdoors within easy reach. At full build-out, The Parks will include 3.1 million square feet of mixed-use development and will feature adaptive reuse of existing historic buildings, new construction, and over 20 acres of open space.”

Vision Zero DC Public School Traffic Garden

Equus Striping, recognized in the region as expert traffic garden installers, has participated in traffic garden projects at multiple D.C.-area public schools, including Anne Bears Elementary School (GC: HRGM Corporation) & Langdon Elementary School (GC: The Bennett Group).

Due to this reputation, Equus was asked by Fionnaula Quinn, Director of Discover Traffic Gardens, to be a featured presenter during the National Bike Summit in D.C. in March 2023. Equus presented to an audience of educators and local government officials from across the United States about the benefit of using professional stripers to create accurate, long-lasting traffic garden installations.
